Tim Bale, Professor of Politics at Queen Mary was interviewed on BBC World Service on the recent G7 summit and the relationship between President Biden and Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He said: "There's always been to an extent, to which the relationship has been unequal. Clearly the United States is the super power, the richest country in the world and Britain to some extent has always been holding on to America's coattails and in the post Brexit era, Britain needs that friendship perhaps more than ever."
