Labour leadership: What the Labour Party will look like if these candidates get elected

Six candidates have put themselves forward to take over from Jeremy Corbyn. Express.co.uk spoke with Dr Patrick Diamond, a Senior Lecturer in British Politics from Queen Mary University of London’s School of Politics and International Relations, to discuss what Labour’s approach will be under each leader. Dr Diamond said: “Keir Starmer being favourite in the YouGov poll was surprising because many thought Rebecca Long-Bailey would be the frontrunner. As a cabinet member, it was always widely known that Starmer disagreed with Corbyn on issues. Although he was a strong advocate of a second referendum before the general election, it looks as if he will accept Brexit.”
