Israel and Britain’s Jews

Following Donald Trump’s recent comments that voting Democrat was “disloyal to Jewish people”, Dr Toby Greene was interviewed by The Telegraph about the relationship between Britain’s Jews, Israel and the term ‘Israelization’. He defines ‘Israelization’ as “the idea that Israel is ever increasingly central in the lives and identities of Jews.” He argues that British Jews are somewhere between their American and French counterparts on the so-call Israelization spectrum. Dr Greene said: “British Jews have an interesting balance between a deep commitment generally to Israel but at the same time feeling very much at home in Britain as well.”
