Future negotiations on the Commission President

Published:

Dr Sarah Wolff was interviewed on Sky News programme All out Politics about the future negotiations on the Commission President. She argued that geographical and gender parity will matter in the negotiations of the future heads of the Commission, European Parliament and the European Council. She also argued that Macron wishes he could play the role of kingmaker and that it is going to be a hardball negotiation between France and Germany. Finally, she argued that whoever ends up heading the Commission, this is unlikely to have an impact on Brexit since all running candidates have a coherent position on this issue.
