Can Jeremy Corbyn defy election expectations again?

Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party has long given the impression it is running scared of an early general election; more than 100 Labour MPs either abstained or voted against this week’s key vote in parliament for a December 12 national poll. Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London, Professor Tim Bale, said: “The 2017 election was a reminder that the current volatile state of British politics made it foolish to predict the outcome now. Labour’s performance in the 2017 election upset what was previously conventional wisdom — namely that you could look at the polls at the beginning of the campaign and you wouldn’t be too far off the final result.”
