At Brexit crunch time, May takes a bruising

Professor Tim Bale spoke to The New York Times about Jacob Rees-Mogg’s letter of no confidence in Theresa May’s leadership. Professor Bale commented on Rees-Mogg’s decision to make the letter public, describing it as “highly unusual.” Professor Bale said: “You used to be able to rely on Tory MPs to be broadly loyal. I think now you have a bunch of people who are actually prepared to die in a ditch for an idea or a principle, and that is a big, big change.”
