Professor Tim Bale, Conservatives: the party of business?



David Cameron’s Conservative party, known for its close relations with business, has found itself in the unusual position of being attacked by the Confederation of British Industry for a string of new policies that it claims “risk damaging growth and jobs” – reports the Financial Times. However business leaders are unlikely to switch allegiance, according to Professor Tim Bale. He said: “Labour is in such a mess, where else is business going to go? The Conservatives have business over a barrel. There is no alternative.”
