On 7 February 2013 the School of Politics and International Relations launched its Centre for European Research.
To celebrate the launch, the School held a very topical public debate entitled; “this House believes you can be a good European and yet want to leave the EU” with Douglas Carswell MP and Sir Stephen Wall. The debate sparked interesting and thought provoking questions from our enthusiastic audience and the event concluded with the majority of the audience voting against the motion.
After the event there was a lively drinks reception where many guests continued the debate.
