Professor Bale’s comments on London Mayor Boris Johnson appear on the website of the New York Times. “Clearly the party has fallen for the guy big time,” he says. “[Boris] has the same advantages as Cameron - both have great educations and are extremely bright. But he also has this populist touch, this ability to connect with ordinary people that Cameron doesn’t seem to have - or, if he ever had it, it has deserted him.” Professor Bale appeared on Sky News this week to talk about Mr Johnson, and his comments on the Prime Minister’s Party Conference speech also appear on Bloomberg online.
