Dr Murray has spoken to international media this week, including newspapers in France, Slovakia and Japan, on the French presidential elections. She talked to France 24 on the success of far-right candidate Marine le Pen in the first round of the election. She explained how le Pen had helped to "decontaminate" the National Front brand, resulting in much stronger support from women voters, who do not generally vote for far-right parties. Dr Murray also discussed the prospects for the election’s other candidates.
