Scotland's Independence Referendum 2014: what does it mean for politics in the UK

14 October 2014

Time: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Venue: Fogg Lecture Theatre, Fogg Building, Mile End Campus

The School is holding a panel discussion involving three well-known political experts and writers who will examine the implications of the historic referendum on Scottish independence. The speakers will consider how the campaign has developed, why support for the 'Yes' campaign has exceeded all expectations, whether it signals the break-up of the established constitutional order in the UK, and if it heralds a new kind of popular politics.

Madeleine Bunting (author and columnist for The Guardian newspaper)
Greg McClymont (Labour MP)
David Torrance (broadcaster and writer; author of the biography of Alex Salmond).
