Drama at Queen Mary ranked first in UK by Complete University Guide

Drama at Queen Mary, University of London, has been rated top in the UK in the latest Complete University Guide subject league tables, receiving an overall score of 100/100.

Several other subjects at Queen Mary were top 10 in their fields in the Complete University Guide 2014: Linguistics – which has risen from 8th place to 6th, Medicine, with a rise from 8th to 7th position in the UK, and Russian and East European Languages, which is also in 7th  place.

Queen Mary made one of the biggest jumps upward among UK universities, moving from 42nd in the Complete University Guide 2013, to 35th overall in the latest table.

The Complete University Guide is compiled from Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) data on university entry standards, student-staff ratios, spending on academic services, spending on facilities, good honours degrees, graduate prospects, completion and overseas student enrolments. It also includes information from the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), in which Queen Mary was positioned 11th in the UK by the Guardian.
