PROTECTOR

Central Pathology Review Committee

In the PROTECTOR study, tissue and cell samples taken during RRESDO and RRSO surgery are first examined by local hospital pathology teams and then independently reviewed by a specialist from the Central Pathology Review Committee. This extra review, which is unique to PROTECTOR, helps ensure that early ovarian and fallopian tube cancers and pre-cancerous changes are identified as accurately and consistently as possible.
