The UCL Centre for Languages and International Education is offering academic reading courses at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels (subject to enrolment numbers) in French, German and Italian. 1-1 sessions are also available.

The courses run for two terms with a two hour class per week and are specifically designed to offer researchers of all levels (postgraduate taught, PhD and research staff) a fast-tracked ability to read primary and secondary sources in other languages. The courses have run for the last fifteen years and are taught and developed by tutors specialised in academic reading language delivery. Each class has a low number of students, allowing the tutor to cater to the students’ research interests. In addition, courses are timetabled by the students themselves, to ensure a lack of clashes with other commitments.

For more information and how to apply, please see our website: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/languages-international-education/study/academic-reading-courses or email us at clie-modules@ucl.ac.uk .

Applications are open until the 8th October 2019 (late registration is permitted subject to timetabling) and tutors are available for level assessment when requested.
