The LISS DTP 2024 Open Competition is Open!

Applications are now open for ESRC PhD studentships in the Social Sciences at LISS DTP.

The London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership studentship competition for October 2024 entry is now open. LISS DTP invites applications for four year (1+3) studentships for candidates for a Masters’ degree leading to a PhD, and for three year (+3) doctoral studentships (PhD only) at one of the LISS DTP institutions: Queen Mary University of London, King’s College London or Imperial College London. Part-time studentships also available. The deadline for applications is 26th January 2024, 5.00pm.

We welcome applications in the following areas: 

  • any of LISS DTP’s 6 Research Areas covering the range of social science disciplines and methodologies. 
  • Project proposals using advanced quantitative methods.
  • Projects using interdisciplinary approaches and perspectives. 

Attend an Open Competition online briefing session! 

The LISS DTP are planning to run two online briefing sessions for students preparing applications for the Open Competition for October 2024 Entry.  The purpose of the briefing session is for interested applicants to find out more about the LISS DTP and to ask questions about the application process.

This workshop is especially dedicated to encouraging applicants from under-represented backgrounds, but is open to all. If you are excited by research, social issues and ideas but are not sure what a Masters/PhD entails or why you might want one, this workshop is for you.
