Queen Mary Impact Fund

Internal Funding for Impact Generation, Collaboration and Commercialisation

Queen Mary researchers are now encouraged to apply for the Queen Mary Impact Fund programme! The programme offers financial support to carry out impact-enabling projects with a focus on early-stage research commercialisation, stakeholder engagement, knowledge exchange and funding new and innovative approaches to accelerating impact from research. 

A call for applications for the Queen Mary Impact Fund programme is now open.

The Queen Mary Impact Fund programme involves a single call, with a common Expression of Interest (EoI) stage. Applicants with successful EoIs will be asked to develop their full applications. Full applications will then be assessed by respective Application Review Panels. Only applications that clearly meet the scheme criteria will be shortlisted for the interview with respective Application Review Panels.

Call timeline:

  • Expression of Interest submission deadline: 5PM, Monday, 1 February 2021
  • Full application submission deadline: 5PM, Friday, 5 March 2021
  • Interviews and final decision-making: mid-April 2021 (an exact date TBC)

Up to twelve projects of £10k-£50k across all the categories will be funded through the Queen Mary Impact Fund January 2021 call. Directly incurred costs of projects are supported, other/indirect costs are covered by Schools.

Eligibility: Queen Mary researchers, PDRAs, final-year PhD students (please note final-year PhD students need to have a supervisor's approval and submit their thesis before starting work on Impact Fund projects).
