PhD Thesis to Start-Up: Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tech

Conception X, an organisation that assists PhD students to create tech start-ups, will run workshop at Queen Mary on 11 December 2019.

Conception X is an organisation that assists PhD students to create technology startups based on the technology developed through their own PhD research. Conception X select students to work with and offer training in innovation and entrepreneurship, industry mentorship, venture capital, and guidance over a 9-month programme running in parallel with your PhD. 

The organisation is keen to work with Queen Mary PhD students and have offered to run a 4 hour workshop outlining their programme and how to apply for their third cohort (application deadline 17 January 2020). The workshop will run on Wednesday 11 December 1-5pm (venue to be confirmed). Attendance is strictly by registration only and is limited to 30 places. The event is free and open to all students working on innovative technology.

Note that if you submit an application to join the Conception X entrepreneurship programme, then you will need the permission of your PhD supervisor.
