We are delighted to let you know that we are now taking bookings for our annual Life Beyond the PhD conference, which will take place here at Cumberland Lodge from Monday 14 – Friday 18 August 2023.
The conference is designed to help doctoral students of any academic discipline prepare for the next stage in their career, within or outside academia. It is therefore particularly suitable for (but not limited to) students entering the final stages of their studies.
Sessions cover multi media presentation skills and writing for non-specialist audiences, cross-disciplinary team working, preparing CVs, and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and support. We will also be joined by inspirational guest speakers and facilitators, and there is also time to socialise and enjoy our fabulous surroundings and facilities in this former royal residence in the heart of Windsor Great Park.
Delivery of our conference programme is subsidised by our charitable funds, as part of our work to nurture students and young people to become future thought leaders, and to help keep the costs to a minimum for participants. Tickets for this event include four nights of accommodation, along with all meals, and are priced as follows:
Single occupancy room with en-suite facilities: £445
Shared occupancy room with en-suite facilities: £330 per person
