Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June 2023 

The Centre for Public Engagement (CPE) are recruiting a team of Queen Mary PhD students to support the 2023 Festival of Communities. 

The Festival Crew are integral to the success of the Festival of Communities weekend and roles include greeting visitors, answering questions from exhibitors and local residents, assisting in setting up and clearing down the Festival locations, leading on our evaluation insight gathering and lots of things in-between! 

We are looking for students who have an interest in public engagement and engaging with local communities, but experience of public engagement with your research isn't essential.  

The rate of pay will be £13.67 per hour. 

Key dates you must be available for: 

  • Briefing session (in person on ME campus) - Tuesday 6th June, 2-4.30pm
  • Festival – Saturday 10th June, 9-6pm
  • Festival – Sunday 11th June, 9.30-6pm

A Festival t-shirt and lunch will be provided on both Festival days. 

Preference will be given to those who are available for both full days of the Festival weekend.
