Call for applications – British Library PhD Placement Scheme 2021/22

Current PhD students are invited to apply to the British Library PhD Placement Scheme. Placement projects are offered from a variety of areas across the Library for 3 months or part-time equivalent, to be undertaken any time from May 2021 and before March 2022 (unless indicated otherwise). A number of projects are offered with the option of partial or full remote working.

Call for applications – HEI partners for AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership Projects 2021/22

Academics at UK universities are invited to collaborate with the British Library on jointly supervised PhD studentships fully funded through the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships scheme.

We are seeking proposals to further develop the following research themes, for PhD projects starting in the academic year 2021/22:

  • Short-lived Newspapers: Reassessing Success and Failure in the 19th Century Press
  • Listening to the Listeners: An Oral History of Talking Therapies
