A celebration of the humanities, it emphasises two-way interactions between humanities researchers and people not usually engaged with academic research.

Being Human is a national festival promoting public engagement with humanities research. A celebration of the humanities, it emphasises two-way interactions between humanities researchers and people not usually engaged with academic research. Check out the CPE blog to read about what Queen Mary researchers got up to last year.

The broad theme for 2023 is ‘Rhyme or Reason’. The festival encourages creative in-person or online events which take place between 9-18 November 2023.

If you are interested in taking part in Being Human please complete the Expression of Interest online form with details of your project (activity name, activity summary, any cultural or community partners, and budget) by Thursday 6 April 2023 to help us decide whether to apply for a Being Human Hub Award.
