Stay safe: What to do to stop the spread of Covid-19

The information here outlines the steps that students should take to make sure that our campus is as safe as possible. It will be updated as the local and national situation develops, so should be consulted regularly.

  • While on Queen Mary campuses it is essential for all students to follow our Covid Code. This sets out the specific requirements for social distancing around campus and in learning spaces; the ways that face coverings should be used; and sanitisation requirements.
  • In addition to the Covid Code it is important to also follow national guidelines from the Government at all times – both on and off campus. Many of the measures are now set out in law and students could face sanctions for non-compliance.

Ensuring responsible behaviour

Both the Students’ Union and the University take the need for students to follow guideline and comply with self-isolation requests extremely seriously.

You can be reassured that the University and Students’ Union will act together to take the strongest possible action in response to behaviour that puts our community at risk. This includes sanctions against students who do not self-isolate when they have been requested to do so.
