The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s leading professional body for marketing, has approved four Marketing Masters degrees for exemptions on CIM qualifications.

In addition to graduating with a degree, students studying MSc Marketing, MSc Digital Marketing, MSc Marketing and Digital Analytics and MSc International Marketing and Consumer Psychology will be able to gain industry-recognised qualifications at an accelerated pace.

The School of Business and Management has developed strong links with CIM and our teaching content has been developed alongside CIM’s learning outcomes to ensure that course content is aligned to industry requirements.

Maureen Wincott, Head of Learning Partnerships at CIM, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Queen Mary University. Students now only need to pass one module to complete the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing or Professional Digital Marketing or two modules to complete the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing or Professional Digital Marketing. This will help students kickstart their marketing careers and fast-track their development.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Queen Mary to help students achieve their professional goals and gain the recognition that is valuable with employers in the marketing and business industries.”

Vignesh Yoganathan, Joint Programme Director, MSc Digital Marketing and Reader in Consumer Behaviour, said: “This prestigious recognition from CIM is a great testament to the quality of our postgraduate Marketing programmes. Many congratulations to the Programme Directors Dr. Mina Tajvidi and Dr. Arash Valipour (MSc Marketing), Dr. Jie Sheng (MSc Digital Marketing), Dr. Tana Licsandru (MSc International Marketing and Consumer Psychology), and Dr. Nastaran Hajiheydari and Dr. Teidorlang Lyngdoh (MSc Marketing and Digital Analytics) for securing this accreditation. I am grateful for the excellent support we received from the school's leadership team including Prof. Mike Noon (Dean), Dr. Patrick McGurk (Associate Dean, Education), Prof. Yasmin Ibrahim (Head of Department, Marketing) and Aktar Hussain (Teaching and Learning Manager), as well as from CIM’s Learning Partner Executive Rachel Thomas throughout the accreditation process. I look forward to working together with CIM in the continuous development of our programmes to enhance the industry-readiness of our students.”
