Getting here

Queen Mary University of London is situated in East London, next to the Regent’s Canal, and sits on three major underground lines:

  • Central line;
  • Hammersmith & City line, and;
  • District line.

It is also served by a number of bus routes. The campus is a 5-to-10-minute walk from either the Mile End or the Stepney Green stations and these stations link directly with major commuter trains at rail stations such as Stratford, Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Farringdon, Victoria, and King’s Cross.

On campus

The campus offers a variety of venues ideal for conferences and events. The ALT Annual Conference will be primarily situated within the School of Law building, although other venues in the immediate vicinity may also be used given the number of talks and events which are taking place.

The university will provide the necessary AV and Digital resources for presenters and speakers, alongside IT and Technical support if required. There is free WiFi offered through the ‘Eduroam’ and ‘QM-Visitor’ networks. The campus is also located near to a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and other such venues, catering to a wide variety of diets, tastes and preferences.

Where to stay

Accommodations will be available to book through a negotiated rate at a nearby hotel, but a variety of other 3* and 4* hotels are available within easy commuting distance along the three underground lines or bus routes mentioned above.
