Join the Library

All current Queen Mary staff, plus honorary and visiting staff, are entitled to use our libraries. Retired Queen Mary staff may join the library as visitors. 

Your Queen Mary ID card also acts as your library card. It will allow you to gain access to the libraries, borrow items using self-service machines and use printers.  

To access e-resources you will need your university IT username and password. If you are an honorary or visiting staff member your department will need to request access to e-resources from IT Services.

Registering for a library account

Queen Mary Staff are not automatically registered with the library. To register: 

• Collect your staff ID card from the Security Team 
• Complete the library membership application form selecting the QMUL Staff Registration category 

We aim to process staff membership applications within 2 working days.
