EBSCOhost database migration to new EBSCOhost user interface
All EBSCOhost databases will migrate automatically to a new user interface (UI) on Monday 16 June 2025
Published:
Library Services provides access to several EBSCOhost databases, including APA Psyc databases and Business Source Complete.
What’s new:
- EBSCOhost interface will change design and layout. The new interface is intended to be user-friendly, intuitive, meet user expectations and improve accessibility
- New features include personalized dashboards and easier ways to share and save resources
Actions for users:
- Users can preview the new database ahead of the migration, using our QMUL preview link: https://research.ebsco.com/c/shxi55
- Action is not required for most users, other than:
- If a database is important for teaching / research, staff may find it helpful to familiarize themselves with the new interface ahead of the migration by using the new UI preview link,
- A small percentage of users may have personalisation such as saved searches and custom folders in their classic UI. Users can refer to EBSCO guidance and how to access classic user interfaces MyEBSCO data from EBSCO's new user interfaces. Please note. Search alerts and publication alerts will not be migrated to the new user interfaces.
Any existing links or bookmarks won’t need to change because links should redirect to the new UI version automatically. Users can check the Library’s A-Z list of Databases for the most recent link.
