About us

The Institute of Health Sciences (IHSE) Student Support service provides non-judgmental and confidential support to IHSE students.

The Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) Student Support Service is dedicated to empowering students by providing the resources, tools, and guidance necessary for success - both academically and personally. Our support extends across the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

  • Graduate Entry Programme (GEP)

  • MSc Physician Associate (PA)

  • Intercalated BSc & MSc in Medical Education, Pre-hospital Medicine

  • PGCert (Apprenticeship) in Clinical Education

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) / Oral Medicine (from MBBS Year 3 to MBBS Year 5)

As part of the university’s extensive support network, we focus on providing practical and emotional support tailored to the specific challenges of your course.

Our service is designed to address the unique needs of medical students, whether it’s guidance on United Kingdom Foundation Programme (UKFP) Pre-Allocation or results release support during exam season. With a deep understanding of the demands of IHSE courses, we are committed to offering comprehensive assistance throughout your medical studies.
