Postgraduate facilities

When you study at the School of Business and Management, your learning will be supported by access to excellent facilities and industry-standard software. 

The School offers a range of on-campus resources to aid your studies, including a purpose-built media suite designed to support student entrepreneurshipIt has seven dedicated workstations: four Bloomberg terminals and three with access to Eikon/Datastream. There are also 11 other PCs for general use. 

The Bloomberg Terminal is a computer software system provided by the financial data vendor Bloomberg LP. It enables professionals in the financial services sector and other industries to access Bloomberg Professional Services, through which you can monitor and analyse real-time financial market data and place trades on the electronic trading platform. 

Datastream is a historical financial database with over 35 million individual instruments or indicators across all major asset classes, including 8.5 million active economic indicators. It features 65 years of data across 175 countries – giving you the information and tools you need to interpret market trends, economic cycles, and the impact of world events. 

When it comes to study space, you’ll have plenty of options  Queen Mary has three libraries across its four London campuses. The largest is located at Mile End, where you’ll be based, and is open 24/7 during the academic year. 

The Mile End library has a mix of group study and individual study areas, as well as PC rooms and contemplation spaces. It offers a range of services, including free laptop loans and secure charging boxes. 

As a Queen Mary student, you’ll also have access to the University of London’s central facilities  including the iconic Senate House library in Bloomsbury, which contains over 2 million books.
