See below for ways in which people at Queen Mary came together to celebrate Black History Month 2022 online:Inaugural Race Equality Network Meeting

Wednesday 12th October 2022 – 10am-12pm.

This year, QMUL launched their new Race Equality Staff Network. Staff Networks are places where people with shared identities and backgrounds can connect with colleagues and make positive change across the university. They can fulfil several roles including providing peer support and a forum for social interaction, as well as working alongside the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team to positively impact staff and student experience.

At Queen Mary our mission is to become the most inclusive university of its kind, anywhere. We recognise that our people and culture are central to progressing and transforming Race Equality at QMUL (Queen Mary University of London), and that the Race Equality Network is an integral part of achieving this goal.

This meeting will be the first of many with the opportunity to review key governance documentation. Colleagues are also invited to propose agenda items. Please contact Afua Acheampong, EDI Manager (afua.acheampong@qmul.ac.uk)

This meeting is hybrid and will be facilitated over MS Teams and in person at Dept W Room 1.23
