Profile

I am a design engineer with over 7 years’ experience working in the industry. Experience gained has been primarily the mechanical design of bespoke industrial equipment, with an emphasis on design for hazardous locations.

Working at QMUL school of physical and chemical sciences, I am overseeing the design and construction of instrumentation for international experiments, in addition to supporting local research experiments at the university. Currently, I am working on the ATLAS ITk detector development at the particle physics research centre.

In terms of qualifications, I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2015 with a master’s in mechanical engineering (MEng). Notable projects undertaken include the design of an automated control system for a domestic biodiesel reactor, and an analysis into the effects of PLA contamination in the PET recycling stream.
