Recruitment

The School of Physical and Chemical Sciences is currently recruiting a new Lecturer in experimental condensed matter physics. We are looking for a scientist who will develop an innovative research programme that takes advantage of our experimental facilities, which include a class 4 laser laboratory; quantum transport instruments; nanofabrication facilities; an X-ray laboratory; and fully-equipped wet chemistry and analysis facilities. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in our new degree programmes, which incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science into the physical sciences.

If you are passionate about research and teaching in the physical sciences, we’d love to hear from you. We particularly encourage applications from candidates belonging to groups that are currently underrepresented in physics.

We welcome informal enquiries, which should be addressed to Dr Anthony Phillips, Head of Group. Further details and the application form are available on our Jobs site.
