The Chemistry Department is responsible for the delivery of the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry BSc and MSci degree programmes in addition to the Chemical Research MSc.
The undergraduate Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry programmes also offer a Year in Industry/Research pathway. In recent year, some of our students have been awarded highly prestigious work placements with UK and international pharmaceutical companies including Roche and GlaxoSmithKline. Practicals are delivered in our new Chemistry Laboratory, a £5.2 million state of the art facility, where every student works independently in a fumehood and has access to research level equipment.
