The Year Abroad is compulsory for all students on the BA modern Languages. Students may have the opportunity to choose different placement types, and will be registered for year or semester abroad modules to a total value of 120 credits according to the activities they undertake.

The work placement will be approved by the School of the Arts and will take place in a country that allows the student to immerse themselves in the target language.
