This module addresses the manner in which these issues are addressed by: the International Labour Organization; the International Maritime Organization; the Admiralty Court in England and some other courts around the world; port states; flag states; shipowners and international and national unions.
Given the essential and crucial work of seafarers regarding international trade, no study of shipping law would be complete without a critical understanding of seafarers' law and how this area of the law impacts other areas of shipping law.
