Catalysis and Reaction Design

Module code: EMS607U

Credits: 15.0
Semester: SEM1

Contact: Dr Radomir Slavchov

This module will focus on fundamentals of catalysis, with application in industrially and environmentally important catalytic reactions. Principles of catalytic reactions, including kinetics and reaction mechanisms will be studied, key to understand how catalysts can enable a reaction. The students will be able to learn different types of catalysts, including how to design them and apply them to reactions. The design of catalytic reactors will be also studied
