This is a linked design project where students work both in groups and individually to integrate core disciplinary concepts to produce the detailed design of a product or process. This is a guided problem-based learning exercise that is heavily industry-focused, where students are given a project brief by their client (supervisor) and must think creatively to produce an effective design that meets a specification and minimises cost and environmental impact.
