Computational Imaging

Module code: ECS669U

Credits: 15.0
Semester: SEM1

Contact: Dr Miles Hansard

The Computational Imaging module introduces fundamental ideas from statistics and signal processing, and shows how they are applied to practical imaging problems, in relation to modern hardware and standards. Real-world applications are analyzed, including mobile photography, image compression, autonomous navigation, and medical imaging.

Lab sessions will use the Python programming language, which will be introduced at the start of the module.
