Subject Specific Events

Our academic schools hold a range of taster events, student panels and alumni discussions throughout the year to give you a taste of the Undergraduate subjects we teach. 

Taster Days (for prospective undergraduate students)

Our Taster Events give you the opportunity to learn more about specific programmes or disciplines, such as our areas of expertise, course content and teaching style. These events are organised by the Schools and usually include:

  • Taster lectures
  • Brief overviewMathematical Sciences banner
  • Opportunity to talk to academics and staff
  • Opportunity to current undergraduate students studying the subject

The taster events can be either virtual or on-campus and usually take place from January-May.

Student, staff and alumni panels (for prospective undergraduate students)

Our schools hold a series of panels throughout the academic year, giving you the opportunity to learn more about certain programmes. These events give you an introduction to the programme and there will be opportunities to ask questions to current Undergraduate students and our Alumni during Q&A sessions. These sessions are currently held online.

Offer Holder Day (for undergraduate offer holders)

Our Offer Holder Days are organised by your chosen School to give you the opportunity to explore student life at Queen Mary, learn about your chosen subject, chat with our students and staff and ask all of your questions. These events are invite only and take place from January-April. If you’re an offer holder, you will receive an email invitation from your academic school at Queen Mary.
