Events forum toolkit

The Events Forum is an opportunity for all event organisers across the university to network and share best practice. The forum aims to encourage collaborative working and forming of relationships with a goal of establishing Queen Mary University of London as a leader in event management. We have set up an Events Forum Teams which also houses useful template resources and guidance documents.

If you would like to join the Events Forum Teams please contact events@qmul.ac.uk

Coronavirus and Events

We encourage following the information on the government pages for events which can be found here. These pages include key steps for event organisers to follow in delivering events including:

  • The creation of risk assessments which take into account risks from COVID-19
  • Providing adequate ventilation
  • Cleaning more often
  • Turning people away with COVID-19 symptoms
  • Enabling people to check into the venue
  • Communicating requirements with attendees and staff working at the event

Please see below for the Covid-Secure Events Guidance and Template Risk Assessment document to help with planning a COVID-19 secure event within our spaces.

Please access Central Web Timetables here to seek information about COVID-19 secure ventilation capacity in each of our spaces.

Tools and support in how to deliver virtual events, if covid-secure delivery is not possible, can also be found below.
