Profile

Angela Carpi is a comparative law scholar at the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on legal transplants in EU-China cooperation project in the field of intellectual property law, on which she wrote a monograph in 2017. She carried out several teaching courses in English on different fields of Chinese Law, both in Italy and abroad. In March 2009, she was appointed tutor, with teaching duties, for the course of EU Contract and Property Law at the China – EU Law School established at the University of Political Science and Law, Beijing. She is part of the research group of the feasibility study (FARB) of the University of Bologna “EU and China towards smart development: strategies and instruments for a legal and economic cooperation” (2013-2015). Finally, since July 2014, she is in charge of teaching activity at the International Summer School “Italy and China: two Judicial Experiences to comparison between tradition and innovation”, organised by the Department of Legal Studies, University of Brescia, Italy. Since May 2017, Angela Carpi is member of the board of the PhD program in European Law, University of Bologna.
