Please refer to the training schedule for postgraduate research students on this page.  These programmes are open and designed specifically for all Queen Mary postgraduate research students and can be booked through the Queen Mary course booking system.

How to book your training  

The  CPD Training System is used across Queen Mary as the central point for recording and monitoring Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities for staff and postgraduate research students. It has a wide range of functionality and benefits for staff, students and managers.  

The Centre for Early Career Researchers has created a short how-to guide for bookings and cancellations using the CPD system. You can now access them below.

What you can do on the CPD system  

All staff and postgraduate research students can: 

  • View their own CPD records​ and see what courses they have been enrolled on by others. 
  • Review where they are with the University’s mandatory training. 
  • Add additional CPD to their record, including external conferences/training or mentoring and coaching. 
  • Enrol themselves onto courses (workshops, e-Learning and blended)​ and create their own Learning Pathways​. 

Bloomsbury Postgraduate Skills Network

The Bloomsbury Postgraduate Skills Network (BPSN) is a network of leading London-based Higher Education institutions, which was founded to share best practice in skills training for Doctoral Researchers in the Bloomsbury area. The purpose of the shared skills training programme is to allow Doctoral Researchers additional opportunities for skills training through attending training courses and workshops at other member institutions. 

Registering onto BPSN Courses 

If you are a Queen Mary Postgraduate Researcher, you can book onto courses from our partner institutions through the BPSN inkpath platform.
