Doctoral College Initiative Fund
The Doctoral College Initiative Fund (DCIF) is designed to support and promote creative and imaginative activities organised by postgraduate research students and postdoctoral researchers which enhance their research experience, intellectual and professional development.
The Centre for Early Career Researchers anticipates supporting a wide range of activities or events ranging from, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, debates and specialist training activities. Please download the DCIF Fund Form and Guidelines below.

Before applying to the DCIF please read the below guidance.
All applications require School level sign off from a PI (for postdoctoral researchers) or director of graduate studies for postdoctoral research students. You will be asked to provide the details of your PI/DGS as part of the online application. As such, we recommend submitting your application to your School at least one week prior to the deadline.
The deadline for receipt of applications centrally is normally 1 November, 1 March and 1 July.
Please complete the application form in good time. Forms submitted without supervisor/director of graduate studies support will not be accepted.
