Festival of Freedom and Independence 5 - 28 November 2021 

Festival of Freedom and Independence are a part of the Season of Bangla Drama festival which Queen Mary University of London has supported in partnership with Tower Hamlets Arts office for the past ten years. This is the biggest Bengali drama festival in Europe. This year, the festival is celebrating the anniversary and some events are taking place at Queen Mary University of London supported by Drama’s tech team. For more information please visit here.

Cancelled - Bangladesh @50 Victory Day Concert

Sadly this event has been cancelled because Queen Mary University of London and Tower Hamlets Council can no longer guarantee that they can conduct the event as safely as they would wish to in the current circumstances.

Tower Hamlets Council is hosting a showstopping evening of music and dance to celebrate Victory Day and Bengali culture with a very special concert on Friday, 17 December 2021 18:45 – 22:00 GMT
