Find and preview your course
Follow the instructions below to find your undergraduate course descriptions in T4.
- In your site structure, look for a folder called 'course descriptions'.
- Note that the 'course descriptions' folder appears above the 'courses' folder - it's easy to get these two confused.
- Expand the course descriptions folder by selecting the '+' icon next to it. The different years will then appear below.
- Select the year you want to edit, eg '2021'. Make sure you select the correct year of entry. Most courses will be copied over from one year to the next, the content in the folders will be very similar.
- Select the 'content' tab. You will then see a list of courses in that year. Use the 'filter' to search for your course.

- Take a look at the 'status' column:
- Content that is green (approved) will publish out.
- If the status is orange (pending), this means any changes made will appear in preview, but will not publish on the live site.
- Any content that is red (inactive) will not appear on the live site.
- If your course description is appearing orange (pending) and you want it to publish, you need to select 'save and approve' in your course description.
- The 'last modified' column shows when your course description was last edited.
- Select the name of the course description you want to edit. This will allow you to edit your course description.
Preview your course
As course pages are complex, you have to preview them in a different way to most other pages. It is important to always preview your work before making it live.
- Find your course in the course descriptions folder and select the blue 'actions' button. A menu will then appear. Select 'preview' from this menu.
- This will take you to a page which has a link to all courses in that year group. Select the link: 'View 2021 courses'.

- This will take you to a datatable which lists all undergraduate courses for this year group. Use the search function to find your course.
- Select the course title to preview.
