Francis Bancroft Building

Francis Bancroft is the largest building at Mile End and is located in the heart of the campus.

Home to Business and Management undergraduates, it also provides access to specialist facilities for our Geography and Language students, and a range of teaching and study spaces for Schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The building boasts a spacious foyer area, 2 lecture theatres, multiple classrooms and seminar rooms.

For our Business students, we are one of few universities who have a virtual trading room with Reuters and Bloomberg trading terminals, Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS), and FXCM FX Trading Station. We provide students with access to industry software in order to gain the skills and knowledge that will help them in their future careers.

For Geography and Environmental science students, we offer a cutting-edge Laboratory and Field Suite used for teaching and researching diverse areas encompassing pollutants concentration, river systems, greenhouse gases and the environment, and sediment and fossil analysis.

For linguistics students, Francis Bancroft is home to the language acquisition lab where students explore language development across the lifespan, from infancy to early adulthood.
