Housing Services will close on Thursday 21 December 2023 and re-open on Tuesday 02 January 2024.
The Residences Reception will be open 24/7 during the closure period and managers from the Residential Services Department are on call throughout.

Experience some classic winter magic at the Southbank Market together with other residents of QM halls. Whether you would like to see the lights aglow, try some delicious treats or buy that last minute present. It’s sure to be a wonderful time.

Connect with other students who are on campus after the end of term over festive party games, holiday music, and seasonal refreshments. Rumour has it, Santa and his elves might even be in attendance. . .

Visit the Residences Reception or foyer of your building to claim some food cupboard essentials to help you make something to eat during the festive period when the shops are closed.

It’s the season of giving! Bring your Secret Santa gift along to this social, enjoy some snacks, drinks, and good company, then see what gift Santa has brought for you!

Put on your cosiest outfit for a movie night. Bring snacks, blankets and other residents staying in halls over the closure period for a relaxing Boxing Day evening.
Thursday 28 December
Lights! Camera! Action! Leave your hall and visit the iconic Genesis Cinema for with the Residential Assistants and catch-up on the latest movie.
The Zero Waste Shop will be closed from Monday 18 December to Sunday 07 January. It will reopen on Monday 08 January 2024.
Students spending Christmas in London, particularly, (although not exclusively) those from overseas may want to spend Christmas Day at International Students House in Great Portland Street (near Oxford Circus).
