1. Information We Collect:

a. Personal Information: We may collect personal information such as your name, email address, and other relevant details only when you voluntarily provide them.

b. Health Data: The ReFleks App collects and processes health-related data, including but not limited to BMI, activity levels, pain medication usage, QoL, GPPAQ, and WOMAC questionnaires.

Any sharing of data outside of QMUL, following successful application will contain only the unique participant ID allocated to each person. As such, personal data has been converted into a pseudo-anonymised form which does not amount to a disclosure of personal data and individuals’ identities are fully protected. This is the case even though QMUL, as custodian of all the data, has the ability to link this unique code back to the patients’ initials and DOB. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

b. Anonymized and aggregated health data may be shared for research or analytical purposes.

4. Data Security:

a. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4.1 Securing your devices:

It is your responsibility to keep your devices secure; this includes keeping your log-in credentials safe and secure. Should you feel your password has been compromised you can contact the ReFleks App study team to advise and discuss.

5. Your Choices:

a. You can choose not to provide certain information, although it may impact the ReFleks App's functionality.

b. You can opt-out of data sharing for research or analytical purposes by contacting us at refleks@qmul.ac.uk.

6. Third-Party Services:

a. The ReFleks App may integrate with third-party services for data collection. Your use of those services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
