Profile

Ahmad is a Highly Specliast Pharmacist in Neonatology and Paediatrics at the Royal London Hoispital, Barts Health NHS Trust, with over 10 years of experience. He holds a master’s and diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, and he has completed the Enhanced Non-Medical Prescribing course. Ahmad is currently pursuing an MBA degree.

He has extensive clinical, operational, and managerial experience in both the private and public sectors. Ahmad has led the development of pharmacy services in the Women's and Children's directorate, with accountability for the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care across two hospital sites in Kent, England. He has optimised clinical and evaluated financial aspects of drug prescribing in the directorate and region. Additionally, Ahmad has led the standardisation of parenteral nutrition in South East England across nine hospital sites, resulting in an estimated annual hospital saving of £35,000.

Prior to his current position, Ahmad played a key role in establishing pharmacy foundations in a new ultramodern, tertiary care specialist children's hospital in Doha, Qatar. He was involved in various pre-opening projects, including establishing workflows in the Emergency Department and parenteral nutrition production, as well as making decisions, streamlining services and operational workflows, and organising learning events.
