Aerospace Engineering is a degree that has components from almost every type of engineering. This is reflected in our curriculum as well. I love the fact that we have such an amazing variety of subjects and the options to choose any of them. The best thing, however, is that the core module we have is Project, which means that we actually develop a project solving a real-life engineering problem with the guidance of our supervisors. It really gives us the taste of being an engineer.

I love our campus, especially the canalside! The facilities here were one of the key factors in my decision. So far, I have been part of different engineering groups, campus societies, volunteering teams as well as sports teams. Here, at Queen Mary, a lot of focus is on enhancing the student experience and it reflects on the facilities provided to us, be it fitness, community engagement, academic, welfare or career services. Everyone is friendly, helpful and welcoming and we receive all the support when we need it.

As a Russell group university, Queen Mary has a great focus on research and it reflects in our education. This combined with the engineering experience I have gained being part of engineering projects like formula student, UAV society and Cybathalon team has definitely equipped me with the skills I would require in my career. Queen Mary is a strong brand that companies worldwide recognise and getting an engineering
