Queen Mary University of London is excited to announce further options within its recently launched set of postgraduate courses starting in January 2021, providing students with even greater flexibility when planning their futures.
Following the announcement on 4 June of additional January start dates for its most popular 30 postgraduate programmes, this additional innovation for programmes from two Schools gives students the opportunity of starting their course in January and still keeping to their original career plans, thereby reducing the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
These accelerated and intensive programmes, open to new and existing applicants, are being launched by the University’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies and School of Economics and Finance. Students applying to these courses will have the option of a 12 month programme starting in either September 2020 or January 2021, or the new accelerated and intensive option starting in January.
In all cases, the Schools will continue to offer the same programme and world-class educational offer. The accelerated programmes will be more intensive and require a higher level of commitment on behalf of students to meet the requirements of the programme over a shorter period of time.
Professor Ian Walden, Head of Queen Mary’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies, said: “We're very pleased to be able to offer this intensive learning opportunity on our LLM programme, which will allow our students to start their studies at a suitable time for them and finish when employers will be looking for new graduates."

This innovation in postgraduate teaching follows the recent announcement that Queen Mary will be delivering January entry across five Schools and now offers a choice of start date for a range of major postgraduate programmes.
